New Book: Nice Work

It's been a while since we've had a crime mystery on The Edible Bookshelf, so having Denise weeks on the blog this week talking about Nice Work is a nice change of pace. Keep reading to find out more about this exciting mystery.

"Jacquidon Carroll has problems ... She's diagnosed with diabetes and laid off from her job the same week, but that's nothing compared to becoming a suspect in the murder of her ex-boss… She becomes convinced that someone recruited from an Internet sex site is the real killer. To clear herself, Jacquidon and her intrepid sister Chantal steal information from the boss's computer and a mysterious journal they find, among other (sleazier) places. The clues lead them through a network of local sex clubs and the seamy underside of the BDSM (S&M) lifestyle. By the time Jacquidon gathers the evidence they need, the murderer is on the same page—and intends to stop her the same way the boss was silenced."

Nice Work is available now from Amazon in paperback and Kindle

  2. OH, Marja, I hope you will! It's out on the Kindle now and not too expensive, but I offer free review copies to fellow Oak Tree Press authors. This book won the 2011 Dark Oak contest. I was concerned when I submitted the book to the contest that the BDSM (S&M) content would blow its chances, but really, the entire BDSM thread is played out with nothing explicit and is mostly funny because the sister sleuths are so out of place and bemused when they visit the sex club and when they pretend to be someone else online to get clues. It's really a family-friendly read!

Thanks for coming by to comment. Braving this "prove you're not a robot" stuff is a mark of excellence!
